Atypical: It’s done in a Vlog format that is not common and makes it seem more intimate than the videos that are typical of this genre.

Arose from fans wanting to see more of what is happening inside the football programs that they cheer for. Transparency within the program.
The tone or style and the purpose(s) of the text/genre
The tone is entertainingly informative because the purpose of these videos is to help fans learn what goes on within the football program. Clemson’s videos do a great job with this while others, like FSU’s do not.

Fans of Clemson football, college football fans, and recruits.
A brief description of the evolution of the genre
The evolution of the genre can be seen in just looking at the differences between the Florida State video. FSU’s social media department has not evolved at all and as such Clemson is light years ahead.
Potential complication, implications, problems, and pitfalls of the text/genre
The largest pitfall with this genre is the paranoia that players might face if they fear that they are always on camera, this is more of a problem in the Clemson style videos because more footage is taken. It can also create false expectations in fans about who the players really are.
